Images in Abstract Art

When we paint using the Pouring method to produce Abstract art,  we like to look for potential possibilities that images may occur. Sometimes we create these images by manipulating the pour. The above painting – “The Visitors” is one of our favourite paintings because of the images within it.

In the painting above, “Mystical” we can view a girl lying down as well as someone throwing perhaps a cricket or baseball. All of our pouring abstract paintings have many images within them. This is the appeal for many viewers. To enjoy spending time discussing with others the images they can see within the painting. It is so much more than just the colours!

There is no doubt the colours make the images. With their unique shapes and patterns as each colour weaves its way amongst the other adjacent colours, images appear that are recognisable as either humans or animals.

In the above painting, having created the shapes I did add the eyes, later. The pidgeon top left got an eye; the hand got two eyes and a mouth; the creature at the bottom, the pink one, got an eye added. Finally, the octo shape got two eyes because it was crying out for them!

Looking closely at the above recent painting we poured, there are many images to view.

Turning the painting upside down, new images appear. These are real talking points for viewers! So not only have the abstract paintings have lovely colours and shapes, they have interesting figures within them.

We hope you will enjoy viewing our paintings and chose them to decorate your home or office. They are available as canvas framed prints in a variety of sizes. Everyone who has purchased a canvas framed print has been delighted. We are sure you will be too.
